System notifications

Enable, disable, or customize the delivery of Swift Mail notifications, sounds, and badges.

Enabling notifications

During sign in

Select the Enable notifications & badges option at the Swift Mail sign in window to enable notifications, sounds and badges for new messages.

A system notification titled Swift Mail Notifications will appear upon successful sign in and launch of the mail window. Selecting Allow from the Options drop-down menu in the notification will enable the default settings for Swift Mail notifications, sounds, and badges.

After signing in

Visit the Notifications & Focus preference pane in macOS system preferences to customize presentation of new message notifications or to enable notifications and badges if the Swift Mail Notifications banner was not presented upon initial sign in and launch of the mail window.

Notification settings

Mailboxes

When enabled, notifications are generated for new messages delivered to the Inbox by default. The New Message Notifications preference can also be set to All Mailboxes or None in the General tab of the Swift Mail preferences window.

Dock badges

The dock badge count aligns with the New Message Notifications preference set in the General preferences tab.

Visit the Notifications & Focus preference pane in macOS system preferences if wishing to receive notifications without dock badging or sounds.
